Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region, has proposed to create another gambling zone in his region. He believes that this will help increase the influx of tourists from China.

Orlov emphasized the advantages of the city of Blagoveshchensk, near which the casino is supposed to be built. The governor said that the gambling zone can become a place of attraction for tourists along with objects of cultural significance. In his opinion, for this capital of the region there is almost all the necessary infrastructure.

“In order for a foreign tourist to come, three questions must be resolved. He must be able to get there, for this a cable car (Blagoveshchensk-Heihe) will be built, a bridge (Russian-Chinese across the Amur) will be built. The second is a place to stay, we have to open the first four-star hotel before the end of the year. And the third - what to show. These are issues of culture, theaters, museums, including a gambling zone, which would be very useful,” said Orlov.

The governor noted the unique geographical position of the city. On the border with China there is a "Golden Mile" - about 40 hectares of land on the banks of the river. He believes that this is a good place to build a casino.

Blagoveshchensk is located on the left bank of the Amur on the border with China. The nearest Chinese settlement, Heihe, is only half a kilometer away, and there is a visa-free regime between the cities. The nearest gambling zone "Primorye" is located near Vladivostok, almost 900 km from Blagoveshchensk.

The decision to create a gambling zone is made by the federal authorities. Now there are four such territories in Russia: "Yantarnaya", "Krasnaya Polyana", "Siberian coin” and “Primorye”. In addition,construction is plannedof the fifth zone in Crimea.
