The British gambling industry may lose employees due to the UK leaving the European Union. This is due to the new immigration legislation.

The UK Betting and Gaming Council has issued clarifications to the immigration rating system, which will come into force on January 1, 2021. The transition to the new rules will complicate the process of extending and obtaining a work visa, because of which casinos may be left without qualified croupiers from other countries.

“We abbots call on the authorities to cooperate with the casinos and our industry for the sake of the common prosperity. To remain competitive, our casinos need the best croupiers who are professional,” said BGC CEO Michael Duger.

The agency clarified thatthe profession of a croupier не войдет в перечень льготных специальностей.
