The Committee of the Parliament of Ukraine dealing with youth and sports issues took the initiative to create a state fund at the legislative level support for the main areas of life of the population - medicine, sports, education, culture and science. This information was confirmed by sources in the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.

In particular, it is proposed to use the funds allocated to the country's budget from the legalization of the gambling business for social needs. There is an initiative in the bill, according to which 50% of the total amount for issuing licenses for casinos and slot machine halls for activities in the field of gambling entertainment should be directed to the local budgets of the region where a particular institution is located.

In addition, the funds received by the treasury as annual royalties from representatives of the Ukrainian gambling business will also go to the fund to support medicine, sports, education, culture and science.

According to the authors of the document, such a draft law will minimize the likelihood of non-payment of relevant contributions to the state budget from casinos legalized in the country.
