FAS banned advertising of Altai Palace due to promotion of the casino

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Altai Territory banned advertising of the Altai Palace hotel due to hidden advertising of the casino. The department saw the promotion of a gambling establishment on a billboard in Kazan.
The press service of the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service spoke about a complaint received from a resident of the Republic of Tatarstan about outdoor advertisingAltai Palace . The letter G in the English word "Vegas" was stylized as a casino chip, because of which the advertising message was declared illegal. Now LLC "Altai Palace Hotel" faces a fine for violating the law "On Advertising". According to Article 14.3 of the Administrative Code, the amount of recovery can be from 100 thousand to half a million rubles.
Advertising gambling in land-based casinos is prohibited in Russia in accordance with a 2006 law. Advertising messages of this nature can only be placed in the gambling establishments themselves, operating on the basis of a license.
