Aristocrat's profit in 2020 fell by almost 50%

Reputable gaming software developer Aristocrat reported on its performance. As it turns out, the company's annualized profit for the fiscal year ending September 30 fell 47% to a total of $348.8 million (AU$476.6 million).

Total revenue for that the same period reached the mark of 4.14 billion Australian dollars, which is 6% less than a year earlier. Earnings before tax and other expenses (EBITDA) were AU$1.09 billion, down 32%.

The company's digital segment was the most valuable during the year, generating 57% of total revenue.

As of the reporting date, Aristocrat is licensed in 328 jurisdictions in 84 countries worldwide. The company has more than 6,000 employees.

According to the Australian games provider, it has been able to maintain a strong operating momentum despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a reminder, Wynn's revenue in third quarterdropped by almost 80%.
