The Federal Tax Service will spend half a million rubles on bets in online casinos
The Federal Tax Service will allocate 533 thousand rubles for test purchases on websitesонлайн-казино and betting shops. Representatives of the Federal Tax Service will register in virtual gambling establishments and place bets on slot machines in order to identify violators under the law on gambling.
The average bet will be 240 rubles. The authority to use public funds will be given to three employees of the department. Each will make three test purchases daily. Who and how will manage the money in case of winning, is not reported.
Currently, access to online casinos and services with interactive sports betting is limited by providers in accordance with the Roskomnadzor register.
However, in some cases, the regulator does not have enough information to make a decision out of court . The new initiative aims to address this issue. The relevant bill has already been approved by the Upper House of Parliament and submitted to the President for signature.
Classic gambling has been banned in Russia since 2009. Officially, casinos operate in 4 subjects of the Federation (Altai, Krasnodar, Primorsky Territories and the Kaliningrad Region), another gambling zone should start operating in the Crimea in the near future. At the same time, with the development of technology, a large number of services with interactive gambling have appeared on the Internet. Since 2014, Roskomnadzor has identified and blocked access to more than 68 thousand pages.
