Deputies from the United Russia party have developed and proposed a bill to create a unified supervisory authority in the field of online gambling -entertainment. The relevant document has already been submitted for consideration by the State Duma.

According to the initiative, the Unified Gambling Regulator will carry out Internet monitoring of the activities of illegal organizations in the gambling entertainment sector, respond in a timely manner to such violations and monitor compliance with the current gambling legislation .

In addition, the agency will be instructed to take a direct part in the development and improvement of the regulatory framework governing the activities of gambling operators.

The initiative also contains a clause on which it is proposed to create a separate compensation fund for gambling participants . It will be formed at the expense of operators' deductions, and the Ministry of Finance will provide guarantees of payments.
