Gambling zone in Crimea to be built by 2024

Crimean authorities plan to complete the construction of gambling zone «Gold Coast" by 2024. First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Republic Anushavan Aghajanyan told TASS about this.
Agajanyan explained that work on the creation of a new IRZ has already begun. The project is being implemented according to the plan of the authorities. Now the government is at the stage of concluding lease agreements. According to him, investors did not demand any changes in the work schedule.
Gold Coast will become the fifth gambling zone in Russia. The authorities approved its construction at the end of 2019. The cost of the project is expected to be about 3 billion rubles. So far, it is planned to build a five-star hotel with a casino.
In January 2020, the authorities temporarilysuspended the construction of gambling establishments in the region. The decision was made after the visit of Vladimir Putin. The president criticized the governor for infrastructure problems. He stated that there are problems with water supply, medicine and ecology in the region that require a priority solution.
