The German company Merkur Gaming, which is part of the world famous holding Gauselmann Group, has announced its entry into the gambling market Ukraine. The manufacturer of equipment and slot machines for casinos has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Expert Advisory Council of the Commission for Supervision of Gambling and Lotteries of Ukraine (CRAIL). With this document, the regulator of the Ukrainian gambling sector confirms the high level of recognition of Merkur Gaming within the local jurisdiction.

It is reported that an official representation of the developer will open in Kyiv in a few months. In the large showroom, gambling companies will be able to get acquainted with the products of the German brand.

Merkur Gaming CEO Sakis Isaakidis, after signing a partnership agreement with CRAIL, said: “News from Ukraine inspire us and the entire gaming industry. Historically, there are always opportunities in difficult times, and this is evident here. Merkur Gaming is absolutely committed to using its vast experience - both as a manufacturer and as a successful operator. We are ready to cooperate with the Ukrainian authorities. Our work will be a socially responsible gaming environment in Ukraine. There are still many issues to be resolved, but we look forward to helping the regulator in the process of fixing them.”

The functionary believes that the companies to the gambling market of Ukraine will allow other foreign operators to show the openness and transparency of the local jurisdiction, which is rightfully considered one of the most promising in Europe.

It became known earlier that the Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission has issued three online casino licenses. Two of them have already been paid. The total amount of fees amounted to almost UAH 47 million.
