Chairman of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine David Arakhmia revealed the details of the draft law on the legalization of gambling games. According to the deputy, the authorities plan to track the spending of citizens inonline casinos using special programs.

“Special software will be installed on the servers of the Ministry of Finance, which will monitor how much people spend in these online casinos. How many win and lose. And a percentage will be charged from each win,” Arakhmia said.

Thus, the replenishment of the budget through the legalization of gambling will occur not only through tax deductions from operating companies, but also through the payment of taxes on winnings from online casino customers.

The head of the faction « Servant of the People" also said that the key task of the bill is to combat illegal land-based casinos. According to him, now there are similar establishments on every corner because of which many Ukrainians suffer from gambling addiction. This allegedly leads to an increase in the number of thefts and other crimes. The MP confirmed the earlier information that casinos will operate exclusively in large 5-star hotels.
