Citizens of Nevada are being urged not to visit casinos to avoid the spread of COVID-19

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has announced that new measures will be introduced soon to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The official did not name specific dates or a list of restrictions.

The governor paid special attention to the operation of gambling establishments. Thus, Sisolak urged the citizens of Nevada to stay at home as much as possible and not visit casinos in order to reduce the incidence rate in the state.

At the same time, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy opposed the closure of gambling establishments in Atlantic City, stating, that there is no evidence that such objects contribute to the spread of the virus.

The functionary stated: “In our casinos, all personal protective equipment, separators are used, the temperature is checked. Therefore, there is no evidence that gambling establishments are responsible for a significant increase in the incidence.”
