The Commission on Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries of Ukraine (CRAIL) officially announced the decision to issue two more licenses, allowing to organize and carry out gambling activities in the field of online casinos. The body confirmed this information on its channel in the popular Telegram messenger. Documents confirming the event signed by the head of the regulator, Ivan Rudy, are available on the department’s website.

Two organizations will become new holders of historical licenses — GameDev LLC and Parimatch LLC, one of the leading online casino operators in the CIS. It is reported that now licensees must send payment for licenses to the budget of Ukraine within 10 days established by the country's gambling legislation after receiving notification of the regulator's decision. With confirmation of payment, operators will receive work permits in Ukrainian jurisdiction for a period of 5 years.

It is important to note that CRAIL issued its debut official online casino license last week to Spaceix LLC. It is the sole owner of the well-known gambling operator Kosmolot in Ukraine.

General Director of the organization Sergey Potapov admitted that the issuance of the first license is the most important step in the development of the gambling market in Ukraine. He emphasized the peculiarity of this event, which, in his opinion, will allow the Ukrainian gambling industry to show its openness and prospects to all interested parties, to convince foreign companies of the rationality of cooperation with the local regulator.

As a result of this decision, the state treasury was replenished with 23.4 million hryvnia. However, according to the transitional provisions of the gambling legislation, this amount was supposed to be 39 million hryvnia (6,500 minimum wages). There were no explanations of this situation from CRAIL.
