Gamedev LLC, the owner of the second online casino license in the history of the gambling market of Ukraine, has officially paid off for receiving this document. The licensee sent UAH 23.4 million necessary under the contract to the country's budget. This information was confirmed by sources of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL).

On the official page of the regulator on the Facebook social network, it says: “The state budget of Ukraine has recorded the receipt of 23.4 million hryvnias as payment for the second online license. casino. The organization "Gamedev" LLC received the right to organize and conduct gambling on the Internet.

It is reported that the license holder is preparing to launch Slots City online casino in Ukraine in the near future. The representative of the operator Ruslan Nonka said in his interview: “It took us a year and a half to make a decision to start investing in the Ukrainian gambling market. We applied for a license three times. But each time, errors in the execution of technical documentation did not allow us to complete these attempts with success. All companies, like us, were denied. But this path has come to an end, we have achieved our goal.

It is important to recall that the gambling legislation of Ukraine provides for payment for obtaining a five-year online casino license in the amount of 6,500 minimum wages, which, as of January 1, 2021, is 6,000 hryvnias. Accordingly, the total amount for the licensee is 39 million hryvnias or 1.4 million US dollars.

This money can be paid in one tranche. It is also allowed to split the payment for five years — 7.8 million hryvnias annually.

At the same time, the current legislation regulates the introduction by the regulator of an online monitoring system for the activities of operators operating in Ukrainian jurisdiction. The legal basis for it already exists, but the technical part has not yet been finalized. That is why licensees are required to immediately pay an annual payment to the budget in three times — 23.4 million hryvnia.
