The Unified Gambling Business Regulator of Ukraine (CRAIL) officially announced its intention to issue a permit to organize activities in the gambling five-star luxury hotel Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv. The corresponding resolution is available on the website of the Commission. It is planned to open the Shangri-La casino on the territory of this facility.

Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv became the first "luxury" hotel in the Ukrainian capital, which was granted the legal right to open a gambling establishment on its territory. It is reported that on an area of ​​1562.1 square meters, the organizers will be able to build a large casino with rooms for VIP guests, a spacious slot machine hall and a sports betting room.

Ukrainian media claim that the shareholders of Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv already have an agreement with foreign investors to open the first elite Shangri-La casino in Kyiv, owned by Storm International. At the same time, it has not yet received approval to enter the Ukrainian jurisdiction from CRAI, so there has been no official confirmation of this information.

It is important to note that the five-star Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv is one of the most prestigious hotels in the capital of Ukraine. He started his work in 2010. Influential politicians and businessmen, foreign guests regularly stop here. According to insiders, the owner of this facility is businessman Leonid Yurushev.

Earlier it became known that Kyiv hotels "Rus" and "Lybid" also received the right to open gambling establishments on their territory.

At the moment, the Ukrainian gambling regulator has issued permits for organizing casinos and other gambling facilities to 12 Ukrainian hotel complexes. Five of them are located in Kyiv, two represent Lviv, one hotel each is in Kharkov, Vinnitsa, Rivne and Bila Tserkva.
