On January 27, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation considered a number of important bills. In the second reading, the parliamentarians paid special attention to the adoption of amendments to the current taxation of gambling.

So, according to the new rules, from now on, the tax authorities will be able to calculate the amount of personal income tax on income from winnings in casinos or slot machine halls and determine the tax base for based on information from the organizers of the gambling industry. This amendment will come into force when casino owners do not submit electronic reports to the relevant fiscal authorities in the form of a register of all data on the operation of a particular gambling establishment.

This information must be received by the tax authorities no later than May 1, 2021. The list of required data that must be indicated in electronic registers, as well as the procedure for providing them, is indicated on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.

Earlier, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation at a separate meeting adopted a bill according to which all Russian social networks will monitor the entire array posted content and block information prohibited by the current legislation of Russia, including advertising of illegal gambling. This norm will officially come into effect on February 1.

The concept of a social network will include all Internet resources, the daily attendance of which will reach at least 500,000 users. Roskomnadzor will start maintaining a special register of all such sites and analyzing the implementation of relevant government decrees.

The authors of the bill are confident that such a measure will further tighten supervision of the shadow sphere of the gambling business in Russia, reduce the risk of new illegal operators appearing and protect minors citizens from the negative impact of illegal gambling.
