The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov commented on the idea of ​​opening a casino in the country. According to the first person of the state, gambling establishments should operate not only in certain regions, but throughout the entire territory of Kyrgyzstan.

In his interview, Sadyr Japarov said: “I support the initiative of a number of deputies to open a casino. Their project involves placing an institution in Issyk-Kul, as well as in Batken. I have another proposal - to open a casino in Bishkek and other large administrative centers. I have already sent the appropriate order to the President's office.”

The functionary also confirmed that until 2015 the gambling business was fully functioning in the country. Every resident had access to casinos and slot machine halls. However, due to the actions of a number of politicians who want to take this area under their personal control, the gambling entertainment industry was banned at the legislative level.

However, the new bill will completely prohibit the participation of Kyrgyzstanis in the gambling industry. This was confirmed by the president: “We will see to it that not a single citizen of the state has access to the casino. Only foreigners will play in such establishments. We must raise the economy, which is in a deplorable state. We will be able to get billions of dollars from the legalization of the gambling entertainment sphere.”

At the end of his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov called on his electorate and all supporters to trust the process: “In the elections 80% of the country's inhabitants voted for me. Thanks to them, I took the presidency. Please, please believe in our work. I won't let our team let you down, your choice. We will not lose face. This reform takes time. But we promise to make it happen."

Earlier, the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic by a majority vote supported the bill on the construction of a land-based casino for foreigners in the Issyk-Kul region.
