Citizens of Kazakhstan appealed to the President with a request to close online casinos

Citizens of Kazakhstan en masse sign a petition with a request to veto the operation of foreign online casinos in Kazakhstan jurisdiction. To date, this appeal has already collected more than 10,000 signatures. This information is confirmed by local media.
The petition was initiated by entrepreneur and businessman Kairat Kudaibergen. In the text of the document, the author focuses on the illegal activities of online casinos operating in Kazakhstan. According to Kairat, funds spent by players on such entertainment services are not reflected in any declaration or register. This circumstance causes an increase in the problem of illegal gambling, an increase in lending to the population, and in some cases leads to the development of serious problems with gambling addiction.

Kairat Kudaibergen sent his petition to the president of the country, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The entrepreneur asked the first person of the state to assist in the creation of a completely new body for regulating the sphere of gambling entertainment, which will be endowed with a wide range of powers and tools to combat illegal operators. It should include authorized persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, public activists, industry experts and representatives of the legal gambling business.
Kairat also noted the fact that in countries where online casinos are banned (Turkey, China, Russia ), the process of regulating the gambling industry is much more organized and efficient. This example, in his opinion, should be followed by Kazakhstan. This will make it possible to toughen penalties for illegal immigrants, protect the younger generation from developing gambling addiction, and also reduce the degree of public discontent.
It is important to note that in 2020, the Kazakh regulator stopped the operation of six illegal online casinos.
Recall that in Ukrainethe first gambling license was officially issued.
