Malta and Netherlands Gaming Regulators Partner

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ). The main goal of cooperation between the two agencies will be to combat illegal activities in the jurisdictions of both countries.
As part of the agreement, the organizations agreed to exchange information and practices, as well as discuss policies to suppress gambling-related criminal activities. The regulators said their cooperation would help increase transparency in both jurisdictions. In addition, the memorandum provides for the implementation of a policy aimed at reducing the level of gambling addiction in Malta and the Netherlands.
KSA Chairman Rene Jansen, after signing all the documents, said: “Joint work is a solid basis for the exchange of information and knowledge. At the same time, operators will receive a clear signal that our efforts will be united already at the international level.”
MGA Executive Director Heathcliff Farrugia added: “The new collaboration has already produced tangible results. With the help of this memorandum of understanding, our states have ensured long-term joint activities in the field of regulation of the gambling services markets of the two countries.”
