Russian casinos will not close due to coronavirus

Russian casinos will continue to operate as usual, despite the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection Covid-19. This was stated by the vice-president of the Association of gambling business Vladimir Ilyushin. He added that the work of gambling establishments is regulated by law and there are currently no orders to close the casino.

“We are not some kind of body, we are a public organization, so there are no instructions from us. The organizer of gambling is a legal entity, subject to the laws. Business as usual,” said Ilyushin.

Now there are four gambling zones in the country: "Siberian Coin" in the Altai Territory, "Primorye" near Vladivostok, "Krasnaya Polyana" in the Krasnodar Territory and "Yantarnaya » in the Kaliningrad region. Alsoit is planned to open an IRZ in Crimea.

An operational headquarters for combating Covid-19 previously created in Russia issued a recommendation to reduce the number of public events throughout country. Because of this, IRZ Krasnaya Polyanapostponed World Poker Summit to spring 2021.

To contain the outbreak of Covid-19, the authorities resorted to casino closures Macau and South Korea. In the United States, several gambling establishments across the country closed during the past week.
