According to the publication, the permit comes into force on December 1, 2019 and gives the legal entity the functions of an operator. Until now, Shambhala was included in the list of residents of Primorye, which allowed the company to carry out work on the construction of a casino.

The company acquired the right to lease land in a gambling zone in the Far East for 420 million rubles. The project of the entertainment complex was developed by the international company AHR Studio, known for its work on gambling establishments in Macau and Singapore.

The complex is expected to occupy an area of ​​about 28,000 square meters and attract investments in the amount of 8 billion rubles. It will house a casino and a hotel with 270 rooms. The construction of the facility should be completed by 2022.

Shambala CJSC has been operating in the entertainment field since the 2000s. The company previously operated two casinos in the Azov City gambling zone until the authorities closed it in December 2018.
