Ukraine calls to join the All-Ukrainian Gambling Council

Last week, the head of the Ukrainian Gambling Association Anton Kuchukhidze officially announced the creation of a new body within the local jurisdiction — All-Ukrainian Gambling Council (Ukrainian Gambling Council). According to the functionary, the main task of the department will be to unite the organizers of gambling entertainment and develop a common opinion of the Ukrainian gambling business for its effective interaction with citizens of the country and media representatives.
Anton Kuchukhidze noted that over the past year the government has taken a number of important measures to stabilize the situation in the local gambling industry. However, he believes that this process is far from complete, so the state should have "internal allies" who will contribute to the civilized development of the industry.
The expert said that operators who have received licenses from the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries of Ukraine play an important role. However, other structures should also have their say. One of these was the All-Ukrainian Gambling Council (UGC). According to Kuchukhidze, such organizations can “combine the efforts of the state and business so that the benefits of legalization extend to the whole society.”
He is sure that in the near future the UGC will become the “voice of the sphere”, to which the majority will listen. At the same time, the analyst called on gambling operators and professional organizations to join the newly formed association.
“Together we can bring the biggest ideas to life. Our work will touch upon various areas: social activity, responsible business, creation of an effective policy to combat gambling addiction, and amendments to tax reform. We must form a positive media agenda so that citizens believe in the effectiveness of the path chosen by the government,” Kuchukhidze said.
In his opinion, when authoritative personalities and large companies unite into one whole, the state begins to treat such alliances in a different way, paying much more attention to their positions. “Only then you can understand that this is not about lobbying, but about the development of the industry,” summed up Anton Kuchukhidze.
